Good Morning Green Juice, er… Smoothie?

Ever since I watched “Sick, Fat, & Nearly Dead” some years ago, I’ve been a big fan of adding juice to my life. After watching that documentary, like so many others, I ordered my juicer immediately and went to juicing. Problem was, for a person who isn’t dedicating their every day to juicing, this became cumbersome and hard to keep up with. Even though I prepped my fruits and veggies for the week, cleaning up the juicer was a daily task I was not ok with; so I stopped juicing.

About a year ago I happened to come across a jug of carrot juice. 100% carrot juice, no preservatives, no nothing. Ingredients: carrots.  This discovery led me to an ah-ha moment that I could start using this in my juices and create a shortcut. These days I also don’t 100% juice because I want the fiber. So this leads me to my Good Morning Green Juice er… Smoothie? Sweet enough to enjoy but not too sweet and still full of good things. I hope you enjoy the drink and the shortcut ;).

NOTE: SOME people might say that using a packaged carrot juice equals no good, or not as good but like my doctor says, if you won’t take your meds then they can’t help you (in reference to my allergy medication but that’s another story). The short of it is if adding packaged juice to your daily regime helps you make the juice, then it will do more good for you than not having it since you wouldn’t be juicing at all. ‘Nuff said.
